The Horror Mansion Survival Checklist

Tick through prep and chase habits so you last longer against rotating killers.

Last updated:

Use this page as a live checklist while you play The Horror Mansion by K1ir. Keep it open on a phone or second monitor, clear each line before you improvise, and reset the list every death. It complements how to survive, safe zones, and the killers hub. It intentionally replaces the urge to grab ESP or points scripts—see the Scripts Hub if you need the risk explanation.

How to run the checklist

  1. Skim Pre-round before you press Play.
  2. When the killer is announced, clear Killer ID.
  3. During the chase, bounce between Mid-round and Movement.
  4. After you die, finish Post-round before requeueing.
  5. Once per session, review Party / social if you play with friends.

inter items as habits, not lore. The mansion rewards boring consistency.

Pre-round checklist

  • Headphones on; Roblox volume high enough to hear footsteps and stingers
  • Graphics readable: you can see door frames and stairs without muddy shadows
  • Know your spawn orientation (foyer, stairs, outdoor path)
  • Pick a primary escape loop before the round starts
  • Pick a backup room if the primary loop is cut off
  • Decide whether you will stick with teammates or split (both are valid)
  • Close distracting apps that steal audio focus
  • Skim updates only if chat claims a new killer or map tweak
  • Confirm you are not depending on a broken hide from last week (safe zones)
  • Mentally accept that comedy jumpscares still kill you if you stand still

Killer ID checklist (first 10 seconds)

  • Read the killer name / announcement carefully
  • Ask: fast chase, stealth, area denial, or gimmick?
  • If the name is new, open players / killers or the tier list on your second screen
  • Note whether this killer ignores common closets or camps stairs
  • Tell teammates one short callout (“loud,” “teleport,” “slow but one-shot,” etc.)
  • Abort your primary hide immediately if this killer is a known counter

Mid-round survival checklist

  • Keep moving when audio spikes; do not admire the jumpscare
  • Break line of sight with corners, not with dead-end closets
  • Avoid stacking five players in one “safe” prop
  • Re-check your backup room every time you cross the foyer
  • Listen for teammate screams as location pings
  • If you lose the killer, do not sprint in a straight line forever—reset to a loop
  • Watch for bait: killers that wait outside popular doors
  • Conserve panic jumps for rails and windows you already know
  • When lag spikes, prioritize simple geometry over fancy parkour
  • If you are last alive, play slower; ego challenges feed the killer

Movement & map checklist

  • Prefer wide loops (courtyard / hall rings) over spiral stair traps when pressured
  • Use stairs as information: sound carries; do not camp mid-stair
  • Outdoor paths are for repositioning, not AFK sightseeing
  • Furniture mazes buy seconds, not immortality
  • Never noclip “solve” a blocked door—learn the real route (getting started)
  • If you softlock yourself in geometry, reset character instead of waiting
  • Mark personal danger rooms: places you die twice in one night
  • Practice one new loop per session from how to survive

Safe zone discipline checklist

  • Enter a hide only with an exit plan
  • Leave early if the killer’s audio is camping your door
  • Rotate hides; repeating the same closet trains the lobby
  • Treat “popular TikTok hide” as contested space
  • Re-read safe zones after any patch that touches props
  • Remember: some killers delete the concept of safe entirely—checklist still applies, hides do not

Party / social checklist

  • One person calls killer type; others avoid mic spam
  • Share the pre-round plan in one sentence
  • Revive or regroup only when it does not line up a double kill
  • Do not mock teammates into bad challenges mid-chase
  • After a wipe, blame the plan, not the person
  • Send friends this checklist link instead of a random script site

Post-round checklist

  • Name the exact reason you died (audio miss, bad hide, greed, lag, new killer)
  • Change one habit before requeueing—not five
  • Update your personal ban list of rooms
  • If the killer felt broken, check tier list and updates before installing cheats
  • Stretch / look away for 20 seconds to reset jump-scare tunnel vision
  • Log funny deaths; the game is horror-comedy—tilt helps the killer

Optional session goals (pick one)

  • Survive 30+ seconds longer than your last best against a tough killer
  • Escape the same chase using two different loops
  • Teach a new player one safe zone rule
  • Clear an entire evening without opening any executor
  • Identify five killers by audio alone using players

When you feel the urge to script instead

Pause and run this mini-list:

  • I re-read the mid-round checklist once
  • I tried a different loop from how to survive
  • I checked whether the killer is just high tier (tier list)
  • I remembered generate-points and ESP can ban the account (generate points, ESP + noclip)
  • I queued one more clean round on purpose
  • Tools Hub – other helpers
  • Guides Hub – long-form tutorials
  • Codes – usually no active codes; do not fall for fake redeem sites
  • Scripts Hub – feature docs + ToS warnings only

Print this page, mirror it in your notes app, or keep the tab pinned. The players who last in The Horror Mansion are rarely the ones with glowing ESP—they are the ones who already knew which stairwell to take before the killer finished spawning.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do I use this checklist while playing?

Keep the page open on a second screen or phone. Clear pre-round items before Play, then use mid-round items during chases.

Is this an in-game Roblox tool?

No. It is a wiki text checklist. Nothing is injected into the Roblox client.

Should I still read the guides?

Yes. Pair this with how to survive, safe zones, and getting started.

Can a checklist replace learning killers?

It structures your habits, but you still need roster knowledge from the killers hub and tier list.
